Replacing a Compressor Pressure Switch: A LEFOO Specification Brief
Publisher: ProSense Instruments | AI-assisted application commentary | Sources checked 2 November 2026
A LEFOO equipment-selection brief covering switching points, contact ratings and replacement information.
Source type: Manufacturer application guide. LEFOO's pressure-switch selection guide discusses operating range, sensing mechanism, electrical rating and process connection. The following compressor scenario is ProSense application commentary, not a reported installation.

Specify both switching points
Provide the required actuation and reset conditions, pressure units and normal operating envelope. State whether the differential is fixed or adjustable in the intended design. A switch with the correct maximum pressure can still be unsuitable if it cannot reproduce the required operating cycle.
Separate contact state from process state
Write down which contact should be open or closed at a known pressure condition. Include the receiving circuit voltage and whether the load is resistive or inductive. Do not treat an AC contact rating as an equivalent DC or motor-switching rating; confirm the exact ordered device's ratings.
Check physical and material compatibility
Specify the measured medium, process temperature, port and thread standard, mounting position and environment. Include pulsation or vibration conditions and the need for enclosure protection. A visually similar body or matching thread is not sufficient evidence that two switches are interchangeable.
Request an exact replacement assessment
Send the original datasheet, nameplate photograph, electrical diagram and any equipment-manufacturer replacement requirements. Ask the quotation to identify the proposed model code, adjustable ranges and relevant documentation. Product availability and suitability should be confirmed before committing to supply.
Include verification in the handover
The service provider should verify actuation and reset using a suitable reference, document the final configuration and confirm the intended contact function. Preserve the original operating observations. This selection brief is an equipment-specification aid and does not replace the compressor manufacturer's service procedure.
