Fridge, freezer and cold-storage temperature monitoring

1 min read

Choose monitoring around the storage application, temperature limits and the action needed when a reading moves outside the permitted range. A standalone logger and an alarmed remote system serve different needs.

Define the storage points

List fridges, freezers, coldrooms or warehouse zones, normal and permitted temperatures, probe positions and the number of independent measurement points. Identify whether humidity or door status is also needed.

Choose logging or remote alarms

USB loggers suit local record collection where their specification meets the task. Connected sensors can support remote dashboards and alarms when paired with compatible communications and software. Confirm reporting interval, alarm delay, notification method and loss-of-connection behaviour for the exact system.

Plan installation and evidence

Metal rooms and insulated panels can affect wireless coverage. Check external probe routing, gateway location, power and network access. Specify calibration points, records, retention and reporting requirements before ordering; confirm any application-specific compliance separately.

Send your requirements

Provide room or appliance sizes, operating temperatures, site layout, Wi-Fi/Ethernet/cellular availability and who should receive alerts. Ask for a complete equipment and service list, including ongoing fees and commissioning requirements.
