The Thermal Gas Mass Flow Meter with Modbus RS485 communication is an advanced flow measurement device engineered for accurate monitoring of gas flow in industrial and commercial applications. Unlike conventional volumetric flow meters, it directly measures mass flow, eliminating the need for external pressure and temperature compensation in most applications. How It Works

The flow meter utilizes thermal dispersion technology. Two temperature sensors are positioned within the gas stream. One sensor is heated while the other measures the gas temperature. As gas flows past the heated sensor, heat is carried away at a rate proportional to the mass flow velocity. The instrument continuously calculates the gas mass flow based on this heat transfer principle and converts the measurement into flow rate, totalized flow, and other process data.

Measured data can be transmitted to control systems through RS485 Modbus communication and analog 4-20mA outputs, enabling seamless integration into PLC, DCS, SCADA, and remote monitoring platforms.
