ACREL Infrared Busbar Joint Temperature Monitoring Device
ACREL Infrared Busbar Joint Temperature Monitoring Device is a non-contact infrared temperature monitoring module for busbar and busway connector joints. It measures temperatures without requiring direct contact with the monitored electrical connection and can transmit temperature data through the AMB310 collector for online monitoring. Depending on the selected AMB300 configuration, the system can monitor an area array, four temperature points or a single temperature point, with optional humidity measurement available on applicable models.
The ACREL Infrared Busbar Joint Temperature Monitoring Device is an infrared temperature measurement module developed for monitoring temperature at busbar slot and busway connector connection points. Its non-contact measurement method allows temperature to be monitored without physically attaching a temperature sensor to the electrical connection.
The ACREL Infrared Busbar Joint Temperature Monitoring Device is available in several configurations. The AMB300-Z provides large-area array temperature measurement, the AMB300-D4 provides four-point temperature measurement, and the AMB300-D1 provides single-point temperature measurement. Models with optional humidity measurement are also documented by Acrel.
How it works
- The ACREL Infrared Busbar Joint Temperature Monitoring Device uses infrared, non-contact temperature measurement to monitor busbar and connector temperatures.
- The module is installed at the monitored busbar or busway connection point.
- Temperature data is transferred through the two-bus communication connection.
- An AMB310 collector supplies power to the AMB300 modules and collects their measurement data.
- The AMB310 can transfer collected data through RS485 to a monitoring system or touch screen.
Why choose this product
- Non-contact measurement - temperature can be monitored without direct contact with the electrical connection.
- Multiple measurement configurations - the AMB300 family supports area-array, four-point and single-point temperature monitoring.
- Online monitoring - measurement data can be collected continuously as part of an AMB300 temperature monitoring system.
- Expandable architecture - the AMB310 collector supports two downstream two-bus communication channels and can collect data from multiple AMB300 modules.
Benefits
- Helps identify abnormal temperature conditions at busway connection points.
- Allows temperature information to be transferred to a central monitoring system.
- Avoids the need for direct temperature-sensor contact with the monitored electrical connection.
- Provides different sensing configurations for different busbar monitoring arrangements.
