This blue-green algae water quality sensor measures cyanobacteria concentration using the fluorescence method. Cyanobacteria exhibit characteristic absorption and emission peaks; the sensor emits monochromatic light at the absorption wavelength and measures the emitted fluorescence. The emitted intensity is directly proportional to algae concentration, enabling stable and repeatable measurements.

Designed for online, in-situ monitoring, the probe features a stainless steel housing for corrosion resistance in freshwater and marine deployments. With RS485 (Modbus RTU) output, it integrates seamlessly with PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems, data loggers, and IoT gateways. The sensor supports two-point calibration, offers strong linearity, and requires minimal maintenance—ideal for long-term environmental monitoring programs.
