This integrated soil moisture and temperature sensor combines two critical soil parameters into a single, sealed probe for reliable field deployment. Soil moisture is measured using frequency domain reflectometry (FDR), which determines volumetric water content by sensing the soil’s dielectric constant—an internationally accepted, stable, and accurate method. The temperature channel provides rapid, precise soil temperature readings.
Built for durability and accuracy, the probe features electrical isolation and a waterproof construction suitable for continuous burial. With sub-second response and stabilization, it supports real-time irrigation decisions and automated control. Multiple output options—RS485 Modbus RTU, 4–20 mA, and analog voltage—enable easy connection to PLCs, RTUs, data loggers, SCADA systems, and IoT platforms.
