The ProSight ES Series comprises professional high-voltage digital insulation resistance testers designed for commissioning, preventive maintenance and condition assessment of motors, transformers, generators, switchgear, electrical cables and power systems.

Depending on the selected model, test voltages range from 100V to 15kV, supporting accurate insulation-resistance measurement across low-, medium- and high-voltage equipment.

Advanced diagnostic functions include automatic Polarisation Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) calculations, leakage-current monitoring and capacitance measurement. Internal data storage and USB communication enable technicians to save, transfer and analyse results for reporting and historical comparison.

The ProSight High-Voltage Digital Insulation Resistance Testers ES Series is a range of professional high-voltage digital insulation resistance testers developed for evaluating the insulation health of electrical installations and high-voltage equipment.

  • ES3045 – 5 kV Digital Insulation Resistance Tester
  • ES3045E – 10 kV High-Power Insulation Resistance Tester
  • ES3045F – 15 kV High-Precision Insulation Resistance Tester

These instruments are suitable for testing transformers, motors, generators, high-voltage cables, switchgear, substations, electrical panels, and industrial power distribution systems. In addition to insulation resistance testing, they measure AC/DC voltage, leakage current, capacitance, and perform Polarization Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) analysis for comprehensive insulation assessment.

How it Works

The tester applies a regulated high-voltage DC output to the insulation of the equipment under test and measures the resulting leakage current. Using this data, it calculates insulation resistance and displays the results on a large LCD screen.

Advanced diagnostic features such as PI and DAR measurements evaluate insulation quality over time, helping detect moisture, contamination, aging, and insulation degradation before failures occur. After testing, the instrument automatically discharges stored voltage to ensure operator safety.
