ProSight High Voltage Digital Insulation Resistance Testers ZY Series ZY10000V, ZY5000V, ZY2671B, and ZY2671C are advanced portable instruments developed for evaluating the insulation condition of high-voltage electrical equipment and installations. The ZY10000V, ZY5000V, ZY2671B, and ZY2671C models generate controlled high-voltage DC test signals to measure insulation resistance accurately. In addition to standard insulation testing, selected models support advanced insulation diagnostics, including Polarization Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) measurements, allowing users to evaluate insulation aging, moisture contamination, and overall insulation health.

How it Works
The tester applies a selectable high-voltage DC test voltage (up to 10,000 V, depending on the model) across the insulation of the equipment being tested. It measures the leakage current flowing through the insulation and calculates the insulation resistance value.
Advanced models automatically perform timed insulation tests to calculate Polarization Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) values, providing additional insight into insulation quality and long-term condition. After testing, the instrument safely discharges residual voltage from the equipment before allowing the test leads to be removed.
