What is the ProSight 20kV Portable Insulation Resistance Tester?
The ProSight Digital Insulation Resistance Tester 220V High Precision Display IP67 is a professional digital megohmmeter engineered for measuring the insulation resistance of high-voltage electrical equipment. It evaluates the condition of insulation by applying a controlled DC voltage and measuring leakage current, allowing maintenance personnel to detect moisture, contamination, aging, or insulation deterioration before equipment failure occurs.

How It Works
The tester applies a selectable high-voltage DC output (up to 20kV) across the insulation under test. It measures the resulting leakage current and automatically calculates insulation resistance. During timed testing, the instrument also determines Polarization Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR) values to assess insulation quality.
