ProSight 96x96mm Universal Process Controller PID Temperature Controller
ProSight 96x96mm Universal Process Controller PID Temperature Controller is a modular industrial process and PID controller designed for monitoring and controlling temperature and other industrial process variables. It is suitable for machinery, heating systems, production lines, process equipment, and automated control applications. Key features include universal programmable inputs, PID self-tuning, multiple control and auxiliary outputs, alarm functions, digital signal adjustment, and optional RS485/RS232 Modbus RTU communication.
The ProSight 96x96mm Universal Process Controller PID Temperature Controller is a 96x96mm universal process controller designed for industrial measurement, monitoring, display, and automatic process control. It provides a flexible solution for applications where process variables must be continuously measured and maintained at a desired operating level.
The controller can work with compatible sensors and transmitters to monitor a wide range of process variables, including temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, vibration, and other industrial parameters.
Its 96x96mm panel-mount format provides a larger front-panel footprint suitable for control cabinets, machinery, production equipment, and industrial process systems. The controller combines process measurement, local display, control, alarm, and optional communication functions into one device.
The modular design allows users to select suitable input and output configurations according to their specific application requirements.
How Does it Work?
The ProSight 96x96mm Universal Process Controller PID Temperature Controller receives an electrical signal from a connected sensor or transmitter. Depending on the selected configuration, the universal input can accept common industrial signals such as:
- Thermocouple (T.C.)
- RTD
- mA current signals
- VDC voltage signals
The controller processes the incoming signal and displays the measured process value. The measured value is compared against the programmed setpoint, allowing the controller to determine whether the connected process requires adjustment.
It supports ON/OFF control and PID control. ON/OFF control is suitable for simpler applications where the output is switched on or off based on the process value. PID control provides more precise and continuous regulation by adjusting the output according to the difference between the measured value and desired setpoint.
For applications requiring optimized control performance, automatic PID self-tuning can assist in determining appropriate PID parameters for the process.
Depending on the selected configuration, the controller can provide relay, SSR, SCR, or 4-20mA control outputs. These outputs can be used to control compatible heaters, solid-state devices, valves, actuators, and other industrial equipment.
It can also provide configurable alarm functions to help identify process conditions outside predetermined limits. Optional communication interfaces such as RS485 or RS232 with Modbus RTU can allow integration with compatible PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
