ProSight 2 Wire Integrated Vibration Transmitteris a 2-wire integrated vibration transmitter designed for continuous vibration monitoring of rotating machinery and industrial equipment. It measures vibration velocity or displacement across a 5-1000 Hz frequency response range and provides a standard 4-20 mA output for integration with PLC, DCS, and industrial monitoring systems. Its stainless steel construction, multiple process connection options, and optional waterproof electrical connector make it suitable for demanding applications involving motors, pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, and blowers.

The ProSight 2 Wire Integrated Vibration Transmitter is an industrial vibration monitoring device designed to measure and continuously transmit vibration information from rotating machinery and mechanical equipment.

Unlike a separate vibration sensor and signal transmitter arrangement, it combines the sensing and signal-conditioning functions into one integrated transmitter. It can be installed directly on the bearing cover or designated measurement point of rotating machinery, allowing vibration conditions to be monitored continuously.

It can measure either vibration velocity or vibration displacement, depending on the selected model range. The 2-wire version provides a standard 4-20 mA output, allowing vibration measurements to be transmitted to PLCs, DCS systems, 4-20 mA monitoring devices, and other industrial control equipment.

The transmitter is constructed from stainless steel, making it suitable for a variety of industrial environments. Multiple process connection options, including M10 × 1.5, 1/2 NPT, and 1/4 NPT, provide installation flexibility. An optional waterproof electrical connector is also available for applications requiring additional protection.

How Does the it Work?

ProSight 2 Wire Integrated Vibration Transmitter is mounted directly to the machine or bearing housing at the selected vibration measurement point. As the machine operates, the internal sensing element detects mechanical vibration.

The transmitter processes the vibration signal and converts the measured vibration into a proportional 4-20 mA output. The signal can then be transmitted to a PLC, DCS, vibration monitoring system, industrial controller, or other compatible 4-20 mA receiving device.

Depending on the selected model, the transmitter can be configured to measure:

  • Vibration velocity: 0-10 mm/s
  • Vibration velocity: 0-25 mm/s
  • Vibration velocity: 0-50 mm/s
  • Vibration displacement: 0-100 μm
  • Vibration displacement: 0-200 μm
  • Vibration displacement: 0-500 μm

This allows users to select a measurement range appropriate for the machinery and monitoring requirements.
