This compact PON OTDR is designed for advanced testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fibre optic networks, particularly FTTH and FTTx deployments. With triple-wavelength capability (1310nm, 1550nm, and 1625nm/1650nm), it supports comprehensive fibre diagnostics across both dark and live networks.
The inclusion of a 1625nm (or 1650nm) wavelength enables out-of-band testing, allowing technicians to analyse live fibre links without disrupting active services. The device provides detailed OTDR trace analysis, including fault location, attenuation measurement, and event detection for splices, connectors, and bends.
This unit integrates multiple essential testing functions into a single portable device, including optical power meter (OPM), stable light source (SLS), and visual fault locator (VFL), significantly reducing the need for separate instruments in the field. Additional features such as link mapping and RJ45 testing expand its capability for broader network diagnostics.
