Monitor leaf-surface temperature and moisture continuously with this IP67 outdoor sensor. Its leaf-shaped sensing surface detects small water droplets and provides accurate readings through RS485 Modbus, 4–20mA or 0–5V output

The CWT-LEAF-TH Outdoor Leaf Temperature and Moisture Sensor is designed for continuous monitoring of leaf-surface conditions in greenhouses, nurseries, agricultural research facilities and controlled growing environments.

Its sensing surface imitates the shape and characteristics of a natural leaf. A dense vein pattern of approximately 15 lines per centimetre helps detect small droplets and trace moisture residues across the sensor surface.

Temperature is measured using a high-accuracy thermistor, while leaf moisture is detected through changes in the dielectric properties of the sensing surface. This provides fast, sensitive monitoring of condensation, irrigation coverage, dew formation and leaf-wetness conditions.

The sensor is encapsulated in flame-retardant epoxy resin and carries an IP67 protection rating for long-term operation in humid and exposed environments. It can be suspended from tree branches or installed among plants inside a greenhouse.

Choose from RS485 Modbus RTU, 4–20mA or 0–5V output to connect the sensor to a PLC, data logger, irrigation controller, environmental monitoring station or remote IoT system.
