MONNIT Wireless Water Detection Puck Sensor detects the presence or absence of water and sends the detection status wirelessly to a compatible gateway and iMonnit monitoring system. Its compact puck-style design is suited to placing around areas where water leaks, flooding or unwanted water accumulation may need to be monitored. The 433 MHz ALTA sensor is designed for wireless water detection without requiring a wired connection to the monitored location.

The MONNIT Wireless Water Detection Puck Sensor provides a simple way to monitor areas where unwanted water may indicate a leak or other problem. The sensor is designed to detect changes between water being present and absent, allowing the monitoring system to respond when the detection state changes.

The MONNIT Wireless Water Detection Puck Sensor operates at 433 MHz and is the version specified by Monnit for Australia and Asia-Pacific regions. A compatible wireless gateway and iMonnit monitoring system are required for operation.

How it works

  • Two detection points on the underside of the sensor detect water by completing an electrical circuit.
  • When the detection state changes, the sensor activates its wireless radio and transmits the information to a compatible gateway.
  • The gateway passes the sensor information to the iMonnit monitoring system, where the detection status can be monitored and notifications can be configured.
  • The sensor can be configured to monitor either the presence or absence of water.

Why choose this product

  • Wireless installation: No signal cable is required between the puck and the wireless gateway.
  • Compact puck design: The sensor can be positioned in locations where a small, self-contained water detector is practical.
  • Presence or absence monitoring: Suitable for applications where either water appearing or water disappearing needs to be detected.
  • 433 MHz ALTA version: The specified frequency is suitable for the Australia and Asia-Pacific versions listed by Monnit.
  • Remote monitoring: When used with the required gateway and iMonnit system, changes in water status can be monitored remotely.
