MONNIT Wireless Resistive Bridge Sensor for Strain and Load Monitoring
MONNIT Wireless Resistive Bridge Sensor for Strain and Load Monitoring is a wireless resistive bridge meter designed to connect with Wheatstone bridge and other analogue bridge circuits. It can be used to monitor measurements such as strain, force, pressure, displacement, incline and torque from compatible bridge-based sensors. The meter excites the connected bridge and measures its output, then transmits the data wirelessly to a compatible Monnit gateway and monitoring system. It is a practical option for adding remote monitoring to existing analogue measurement points.
The MONNIT Wireless Resistive Bridge Sensor for Strain and Load Monitoring provides a way to bring compatible analogue bridge-based sensors into a wireless monitoring system.
It is designed to connect with Wheatstone bridges and other analogue bridge circuits used in a range of industrial measurement applications. Depending on the connected sensing device, this can include strain, force, pressure, displacement, incline and torque monitoring.
The meter excites the connected resistive bridge and measures the voltage across its supplied four-wire lead. A programmable gain amplifier can be adjusted between 1X and 128X to suit the signal from the connected bridge circuit.
For customers already using compatible bridge-based transducers, the wireless meter can provide a practical path towards remote monitoring without replacing the original measurement element.
How It Works
- Connect the supplied four-wire lead to a compatible Wheatstone or analogue bridge circuit.
- The meter provides excitation to the connected resistive bridge.
- The bridge output voltage is measured by the device.
- The programmable gain amplifier can be configured from 1X to 128X.
- Measurement data is transmitted wirelessly to a compatible Monnit gateway and monitoring system.
Why Choose This Product
- Designed specifically for interfacing compatible resistive bridge circuits with wireless monitoring.
- Suitable for multiple measurement applications when used with the appropriate external transducer.
- Adjustable gain helps accommodate different bridge output levels.
- Allows existing compatible analogue measurement systems to be incorporated into remote monitoring.
- The MNS2-4 version is intended for the 433 MHz ALTA frequency used for the Australia/Asia-Pacific region.
Benefits
- Reduces the need for permanent wired communication between the measurement point and monitoring gateway.
- Supports remote collection of data from compatible bridge-based sensors.
- Can be used across different measurement applications without changing the wireless meter itself, provided the connected bridge sensor is compatible.
- Offers adjustable signal amplification through the built-in programmable gain amplifier.
