MONNIT Industrial Wireless Water Detection Rope Sensor is designed to detect water along a connected detection rope and provide wireless monitoring for areas where early water detection is important. The sensor operates at 433 MHz and includes a 10 ft water detection rope, mounting hardware, pre-installed 3V industrial battery and SMA antenna. It is suited to industrial monitoring applications where a rope-style sensor can cover a larger detection area than a single-point water sensor.
The MONNIT Industrial Wireless Water Detection Rope Sensor provides wireless water detection using a rope-style sensing element. Rather than relying on a single detection point, the water detection rope can be positioned along an area where water leakage or accumulation may occur.
When conductive liquid contacts the detection rope, the sensor detects the presence of the liquid and communicates the condition wirelessly. This makes it useful for monitoring areas where running a dedicated signal cable back to a monitoring point may be inconvenient.
The sensor is supplied with wireless sensor mounting hardware, a 10 ft water detection rope, a pre-installed 3V industrial battery and an SMA antenna. Monnit specifies the standard antenna as a dipole SMA type.
