MONNIT 150 Amp Wireless AC Current Meter is an ALTA wireless AC current meter designed to remotely monitor current flowing through electrical equipment and systems. It measures RMS current and provides minimum, maximum and average readings, as well as amp-hour data for monitoring electrical usage. The AA battery-powered sensor communicates using the ALTA 433 MHz wireless platform and works with iMonnit for data monitoring and alerts. It is suited to equipment monitoring, breaker panel monitoring, factory systems, conveyor motors and other applications where changes in current can indicate changes in equipment operation.

The MONNIT 150 Amp Wireless AC Current Meter is an ALTA wireless 150 Amp AC current meter from Monnit. It is designed to monitor electrical current without requiring the monitored circuit to be rewired. The current transformer is placed around the appropriate single AC conductor, allowing the sensor to measure the current flowing through the system.

The sensor reports minimum RMS current, maximum RMS current, average RMS current and amp hours to the iMonnit system. iMonnit can also generate watt-hour or kilowatt-hour readings when configured with a default RMS voltage.

The supplied model uses standard AA batteries and the ALTA 433 MHz wireless frequency. Monnit specifically identifies 433 MHz for Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

How it works

  • A current transformer (CT) is placed around a single wire of the AC system.
  • The CT detects the current flowing through that conductor.
  • The sensor processes the measurement and provides RMS current information.
  • Current data is transmitted wirelessly to a compatible gateway and iMonnit.
  • iMonnit can be used to view sensor data and configure monitoring and notification settings.

Important: Monnit states that this AC Current Meter is for monitoring AC voltage only and should not be used with DC voltage.
