ProSight High Temperature & Humidity Transmitter – Up to 180°C, Industrial Grade is a rugged and reliable high-temperature temperature & humidity transmitter with split probe and metal housing. Ideal for demanding industrial environments, climate control, and harsh-condition monitoring.

The ProSight High Temperature & Humidity Transmitter – Up to 180°C Industrial Grade is an industrial-grade environmental measurement instrument designed to accurately measure temperature and relative humidity in high-temperature environments.

Unlike conventional temperature and humidity transmitters designed for normal indoor conditions, the LFH70 uses a split-probe design that allows the sensing probe to operate in environments from -40°C to 180°C. This makes it suitable for demanding applications where elevated temperatures would exceed the operating limits of conventional humidity transmitters.

It uses a PT1000 sensing element for temperature measurement and a high-temperature humidity-sensitive capacitor for relative humidity measurement. The humidity sensing element is designed for high-temperature operation and provides long-term stability, good humidity repeatability, strong anti-pollution characteristics, and resistance to electromagnetic interference.

Measured temperature and humidity information can be transmitted to control and monitoring systems through RS485, 0-10V, or 4-20mA outputs, depending on the selected configuration. The transmitter can therefore be integrated with PLCs, SCADA systems, HVAC controllers, building automation systems, and industrial monitoring platforms.

It also features a full-metal housing designed to provide a stronger structure and longer service life in harsh working environments. Optional modules include an LCD display, buttons, and alarm functions, allowing the transmitter to be configured for different monitoring and control requirements.

How Does It Work?

  • The PT1000 temperature sensing element measures the temperature at the high-temperature probe location.
  • The high-temperature humidity-sensitive capacitor measures the relative humidity of the surrounding environment.
  • The sensing elements convert temperature and humidity conditions into electrical signals.
  • Internal electronics process the sensor signals and generate corresponding measurement outputs.
  • Temperature and humidity readings can be transmitted using RS485, 0-10V, or 4-20mA, depending on configuration.
  • The output signals can be connected to PLCs, SCADA systems, HVAC controllers, building automation systems, or data acquisition equipment.
  • The split probe allows the sensing point to be positioned in the high-temperature environment while the transmitter electronics remain outside the most demanding area, subject to the installation requirements and specified operating limits.
  • Optional LCD and button modules can provide local indication and user interaction.
  • Optional relay outputs can be used for alarm or control functions.
  • The connected control system can use the temperature and humidity data to regulate ventilation, heating, cooling, drying, humidification, or other process equipment.
