This portable total radiation meter (handheld pyranometer) measures hemispherical shortwave solar irradiance on a horizontal plane across the 285–3000 nm spectral range. Built around a passive thermopile sensing element, it generates a stable micro-voltage proportional to incident radiation, delivering dependable measurements without moving parts.

Designed for field use, the lightweight handheld form factor supports quick spot checks and temporary deployments. When mounted horizontally, it measures global radiation; inverted placement enables reflected radiation measurement, and with optional shading accessories it can be used to assess diffuse radiation components.
