A specialised automotive ignition probe designed for secondary ignition waveform measurement using an oscilloscope. Enables safe, non-intrusive analysis of spark ignition voltage behaviour, misfires, and cylinder performance with high-voltage attenuation up to 10,000:1.

This Automotive Ignition Probe is an inductive and capacitive sensing accessory developed for secondary ignition diagnostics when used in conjunction with an oscilloscope.

The probe allows technicians to observe spark ignition secondary waveforms, including voltage rise, burn time, and waveform overlap, providing valuable insight into ignition timing, coil performance, and cylinder condition. High-voltage ignition signals are internally attenuated to a safe low-voltage level, protecting the oscilloscope from electrical damage while maintaining waveform integrity.

Designed for close-proximity measurement, the probe clips onto insulated spark plug leads or ignition connections, enabling non-contact signal pickup without direct electrical connection. This makes it suitable for diagnosing misfires, weak spark conditions, ignition timing faults, and uneven cylinder operation.

A 2.5-metre lead length provides flexibility for use in engine bays, while the integrated grounding clip improves signal stability and measurement accuracy.
