The Dragino WL03A is a wireless IoT water leak detection sensor designed to identify the presence of water in areas where leaks could damage equipment, interrupt operations, or create safety concerns. Available in both LoRaWAN and NB-IoT models, it provides flexible deployment options for private LoRaWAN networks or cellular-based IoT infrastructure.
When water is detected, the WL03A immediately transmits an alarm message to a gateway or cellular network, allowing users to receive notifications and monitor system status remotely through an IoT platform. In addition to instant event reporting, the sensor also sends configurable periodic status updates to confirm continuous operation.
Its ultra-low power design supports years of battery-powered operation, while the durable IP66-rated enclosure allows dependable performance in challenging indoor and outdoor environments.
How It Works
The WL03A continuously monitors its sensing probe for the presence of water.
When water bridges the sensing contacts, the sensor instantly generates a leak alarm and transmits the event through either a LoRaWAN gateway or an NB-IoT cellular network. The monitoring platform records the event, issues notifications, and provides historical data for analysis and maintenance planning.
