DRAGINO LoRaWAN / NB-IoT Weather Station Transmitter
DRAGINO LoRaWAN / NB-IoT Weather Station Transmitter is a LoRaWAN weather station transmitter for collecting environmental measurements from compatible weather and RS485 sensors. Supporting LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A, Bluetooth configuration and wireless firmware updates, it can transmit sensor data to an IoT server through a standard LoRaWAN gateway. The WSC2-L supports Dragino weather sensors as well as compatible third-party RS485 sensors, making it suitable for flexible outdoor weather and environmental monitoring systems.
Please note that the WSC2-X series only includes the wireless transmitter, and the WSS-08, WSS-09, WSS-21, WSS-22, WSS-23, WSS-24, WSS-25, WSS-26, WSS-27 sensor need to be purchased separately. If you need to connect more than 3 sensors, please purchase an additional one to four adapter cable (DR-F6C-4M).
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN / NB-IoT Weather Station Transmitter provides a wireless connection between compatible environmental sensors and a LoRaWAN network. It is designed as the main processing and communication unit for Dragino's weather station solution.
The transmitter can receive measurements from supported weather sensors through RS485 and send the collected information to an IoT server using LoRaWAN. The manufacturer lists support for parameters including wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, air pressure, illumination, PM2.5, PM10, noise, rainfall and other environmental measurements, depending on the connected sensor.
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Weather Station Transmitter also supports third-party RS485 sensors, providing additional flexibility when a weather monitoring installation requires measurements beyond the standard sensor options.
How it works
- Compatible weather or RS485 sensors collect environmental measurements.
- The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Weather Station Transmitter receives sensor data through its RS485 interface.
- The transmitter processes the sensor information and sends it through a LoRaWAN network.
- A compatible LoRaWAN gateway and network server can then make the collected data available to an IoT platform.
- Configuration can be performed through Bluetooth, UART or LoRaWAN downlink commands.
