DRAGINO LoRaWAN IoT Sensor Node | Solar Powered Available is a long-range LoRaWAN generic sensor node designed to connect external sensors and I/O devices to LoRaWAN networks. Based on the SX1262 LoRa core and a 48 MHz ARM microcontroller, it provides multiple digital I/O, one-wire, UART and I2C interfaces for flexible sensor integration. Bluetooth 5.1 enables local configuration, while LoRaWAN remote configuration and wireless firmware updates simplify deployment and maintenance. Its low-power design and support for multiple frequency bands make it suitable for industrial IoT monitoring and control applications.

The DRAGINO LoRaWAN IoT Sensor Node | Solar Powered Available is a long-range generic sensor node designed to help connect external sensors and monitoring equipment to LoRaWAN networks. It is the third generation of Dragino's LSN50 series generic sensor node and uses an open-source hardware and software design that can be configured for different IoT applications.

The node uses an SX1262 LoRa core for long-range, low-data-rate wireless communication and includes a 48 MHz ARM microcontroller with 256 KB flash and 64 KB RAM. Its multiplex I/O design provides several connection options for external sensors and devices.

How it works

  • External sensors or devices can be connected through the available digital I/O, one-wire, UART and I2C interfaces.
  • The DRAGINO LoRaWAN IoT Sensor Node | Solar Powered Available processes the connected sensor information and periodically transmits data through its LoRaWAN connection.
  • The device supports LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A operation and can be configured using Bluetooth, LoRaWAN downlink commands or UART.
  • Firmware can be updated wirelessly through the supported OTA update function.

Why choose this product

  • Flexible sensor connectivity: Multiple interface types allow the node to work with a range of external sensors and equipment.
  • Long-range LoRaWAN communication: The SX1262-based wireless platform is designed for long-range communication at low data rates.
  • Configurable platform: The open-source design and application software allow the node to be used as a base for customised IoT projects.
  • Convenient configuration: Bluetooth 5.1 provides a local configuration method, while LoRaWAN and UART options provide additional configuration approaches.
  • Low power operation: The manufacturer specifies a sleep-mode consumption of 5 µA at 3.3 V.
