DRAGINO LoRaWAN 3-Axis Vibration and Shock Sensor
DRAGINO LoRaWAN 3-Axis Vibration and Shock Sensor is a LoRaWAN vibration sensor designed to detect vibration, shocks and acceleration in monitored equipment and objects. It uses a 3-axis accelerometer to identify vibration activity and can provide information such as vibration status, alarms, counting and device runtime to an IoT platform. The sensor also includes built-in temperature and humidity monitoring and a 2400mAh non-rechargeable battery for long-term wireless operation. It supports LoRaWAN v1.0.3 Class A and multiple frequency bands.
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN 3-Axis Vibration and Shock Sensor is designed for wireless monitoring of vibration activity in equipment and other objects. It detects vibration, shocks and acceleration using an external 3-axis vibration sensor and can provide information including vibration status, vibration alarms, counting and device runtime for analysis through an IoT platform.
The sensor communicates using LoRaWAN v1.0.3 Class A, allowing it to connect to a standard LoRaWAN gateway and transmit data over a long-range wireless network. Available frequency bands include AU915, as well as several other regional LoRaWAN bands.
A built-in temperature and humidity sensor provides additional environmental measurements. The DRAGINO LoRaWAN 3-Axis Vibration and Shock Sensor also features a 2400mAh non-rechargeable battery. Dragino states that battery life can exceed three years, although actual operating life depends on the data transmission frequency.
How it works
- The external vibration sensor detects movement, vibration and acceleration along the X, Y and Z axes.
- The DRAGINO LoRaWAN 3-Axis Vibration and Shock Sensor processes the detected vibration activity and can provide information such as vibration status, alarms, counts and device runtime.
- Data is transmitted wirelessly through a LoRaWAN network to an IoT platform for monitoring and analysis.
- The built-in temperature and humidity sensor can provide environmental measurements alongside the vibration data.
- Parameters can be configured using AT commands or remotely through LoRaWAN downlink commands.
Why choose this product?
- Wireless LoRaWAN communication - Suitable for applications where long-range wireless sensor connectivity is required.
- 3-axis vibration detection - Monitors acceleration across the X, Y and Z axes.
- Additional environmental data - Built-in temperature and humidity sensing provides supplementary information.
- Long-term battery operation - Uses a built-in 2400mAh non-rechargeable battery.
- Remote configuration - Parameters can be adjusted remotely through LoRaWAN downlink.
- Data logging - The Dragino documentation specifies a datalogging capacity of up to 3,328 records, allowing readings to be retained when network coverage is unavailable.
Benefits
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN 3-Axis Vibration and Shock Sensor can help reduce the need for manual vibration checks by providing wireless information about equipment activity and vibration conditions. Its LoRaWAN connectivity also makes it suitable for distributed monitoring installations where sensors may need to communicate over considerable distances.
