DRAGINO Industrial LoRaWAN Dry Contact and Door Status Monitoring Sensor
DRAGINO Industrial LoRaWAN Dry Contact and Door Status Monitoring Sensor is a LoRaWAN open/close dry contact sensor designed for remote status monitoring of doors, switches, and industrial equipment. It is primarily used for wireless monitoring applications where reliable long-range communication and low power consumption are essential. Key features include LoRaWAN v1.0.3 compatibility, configurable alarm reporting, long battery life, event logging, and IP-rated enclosure for outdoor deployment.
DRAGINO Industrial LoRaWAN Dry Contact and Door Status Monitoring Sensor (CPL01)
The Dragino CPL01 is a wireless IoT sensor that monitors the open or closed status of dry contacts, magnetic contacts, switches, relays, and similar devices. It communicates using the LoRaWAN® protocol, allowing sensor data to be transmitted over long distances to a LoRaWAN gateway and cloud platform while consuming minimal power.
The sensor can immediately report status changes while also sending periodic updates to ensure continuous monitoring. Its ultra-low power design enables years of operation from a single battery, making it ideal for remote installations where frequent maintenance is impractical.
Designed for industrial and outdoor environments, the CPL01 features a weather-resistant enclosure and supports configurable reporting intervals, alarm notifications, and historical event logging for improved operational awareness.
How It Works
The CPL01 continuously monitors the state of an external dry contact or magnetic switch.
When a contact changes from open to closed (or vice versa), the sensor immediately transmits the event through a nearby LoRaWAN gateway. The gateway forwards the data to a network server or cloud platform, allowing users to monitor equipment and receive alerts remotely.
