An industrial M18 through-beam laser sensor designed for reliable long-distance object detection, including thin and low-contrast materials such as nonwovens. This M18 through-beam photoelectric laser sensor uses a separate transmitter and receiver to deliver stable and precise object detection over extended distances. The through-beam sensing principle offers high immunity to background interference and is particularly effective for detecting thin, small, or low-reflectivity materials such as films, nonwovens, and sheets.
The sensor operates from a wide low-voltage DC supply and incorporates reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection to improve reliability in industrial control systems. An integrated LED indicator provides clear visual feedback during operation, while a built-in sensitivity adjustment allows fine tuning to suit varying materials and installation conditions.
