ACREL Wireless Temperature Monitoring Device - DIN Rail is a DIN rail mounted wireless transceiver designed to collect temperature data from up to 240 ATE Series wireless temperature sensors. It uses 470 MHz wireless communication and provides RS485 communication with MODBUS-RTU, along with two passive relay outputs for alarm or control functions. The ATC600 is suited to temperature monitoring applications where multiple measurement points need to be collected and connected to a monitoring or control system.

The ACREL Wireless Temperature Monitoring Device - DIN Rail is a central wireless transceiver for Acrel ATE Series temperature sensors. It collects temperature measurements from multiple wireless sensing points and makes the data available to connected monitoring equipment through RS485 using MODBUS-RTU.

The unit can support up to 240 ATE Series temperature sensors, making it suitable for installations where temperature needs to be monitored at numerous points from a central location. Acrel lists a 470 MHz wireless frequency and a communication distance of up to 150 metres in an open area without a repeater, while a repeater can extend the open-area distance to 1 km. Actual wireless performance will depend on the installation environment.

How it works

  • ATE Series wireless temperature sensors measure temperature at individual monitoring points.
  • The sensors transmit their measurement data wirelessly to the ATC600.
  • The ATC600 collects data from up to 240 sensor points.
  • Temperature data can be transferred to compatible equipment through the RS485 interface using MODBUS-RTU.
  • Two passive relay outputs are available for alarm or control functions where required.

Why choose this product?

  • Multi-point monitoring: Supports up to 240 ATE Series temperature sensors from one transceiver.
  • Wireless sensor communication: Reduces the need for individual wired signal connections between temperature sensors and the central monitoring device.
  • RS485 connectivity: MODBUS-RTU allows the ATC600 to communicate with compatible monitoring and control equipment.
  • Relay outputs: Two passive relay outputs can be used for temperature-related alarm or control functions.
  • DIN rail mounting: The compact enclosure is designed for installation on a 35 mm DIN rail.

Benefits

The ACREL Wireless Temperature Monitoring Device - DIN Rail is particularly useful where several temperature measurement points need to be brought together into a central monitoring system. Its wireless connection to ATE Series sensors can simplify temperature monitoring across multiple points, while RS485 communication provides a practical connection to compatible automation or monitoring equipment.

The two relay outputs also allow the unit to provide a local switching function without requiring an additional relay interface, subject to the application and control requirements.
