ACREL Three-Phase MID DIN Rail Energy Meter
ACREL Three-Phase MID DIN Rail Energy Meter ACREL Three-Phase MID DIN Rail Energy Meter (ADL400-D and ADL400-U) is a three phase DIN rail energy meter designed for measuring electrical parameters including voltage, current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor and frequency. With RS485 communication using Modbus-RTU, the meter can provide measurement data for energy monitoring and management systems. It is suitable for applications such as EV charging infrastructure and centralised electrical installations in commercial, industrial and other power distribution environments.
ADL400-D: Uses bill of materials identifier YZ.40.07.00036, typically configured and certified as a direct-connected 10(80)A Class C active energy meter.
ADL400-U: Uses bill of materials identifier YZ.40.07.00034, often aligned with alternative internal component variations or ratings (such as 10(100)A Class B variants) under the same MID certification family.
The ACREL Three-Phase MID DIN Rail Energy Meter is a three phase DIN rail energy meter developed for electrical measurement and energy monitoring applications. It measures voltage, current, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor and frequency, providing a broader view of electrical system performance than a basic energy meter.
The meter supports reference voltage configurations of 3×100 V, 3×380 V, 3×57.7/100 V and 3×220/380 V, with input current options of 3×1(6) A and 3×10(80) A. The manufacturer specifies a frequency range of 45 to 65 Hz and Class 0.5 accuracy for active energy.
For system integration, the ACREL Three-Phase MID DIN Rail Energy Meter provides RS485 communication with Modbus-RTU. The manufacturer also specifies measurement of the 2nd to 31st harmonics. An optional /F version provides multi-tariff and demand event record functions.
Its DIN rail format and compact 90 mm x 72 mm x 65 mm dimensions make the ADL400 suitable where electrical measurement needs to be incorporated into a distribution or monitoring panel without requiring a large panel-mounted instrument.
How It Works
- The meter measures the electrical parameters of a three phase system through its specified voltage and current inputs.
- It calculates and displays electrical values including voltage, current, power, power factor and frequency.
- Active energy is measured with a manufacturer-specified Class 0.5 accuracy.
- Measured information can be communicated through RS485 using the Modbus-RTU protocol for connection to compatible monitoring systems.
- The meter also provides measurement of the 2nd to 31st harmonics.
Why Choose this product?
- Provides multiple electrical measurements in one compact DIN rail instrument.
- Supports RS485 Modbus-RTU communication for integration with compatible energy monitoring systems.
- Offers Class 0.5 active energy accuracy according to the manufacturer's specification.
- Supports multiple specified three phase voltage and current configurations.
- Includes harmonic measurement from the 2nd to 31st harmonics.
Benefits
- Helps provide centralised visibility of electrical measurements.
- Makes measured energy and power information available for compatible monitoring and management systems.
