ACREL Power Quality Analyzer - Harmonic & Disturbance Monitoring provides detailed monitoring of electrical power quality, including voltage, current, power, harmonics, flicker, voltage disturbances and system events. APView400 is designed for power quality monitoring with four AC voltage and four AC current channels, while APView500 expands this to eight voltage and eight current channels and supports systems up to 110 kV as specified by Acrel.
The ACREL Power Quality Analyzer - Harmonic & Disturbance Monitoring is intended for applications where electrical power quality needs to be measured, analysed and recorded rather than simply monitored through basic voltage and current measurements.
The analyser measures electrical parameters and can identify conditions such as harmonic distortion, voltage dips, voltage swells, interruptions, flicker, voltage fluctuations and unbalance. Recorded waveforms and event information can then be used to investigate disturbances and assist with electrical system troubleshooting.
How it works
- The analyser receives AC voltage and current signals through the specified voltage and current inputs.
- It continuously calculates power quality parameters including RMS voltage and current, frequency, power, power factor, harmonics and unbalance.
- Disturbance conditions can be detected and recorded, including voltage dips, swells, interruptions and transient events.
- Waveforms can be recorded manually, by time, by event or through a host trigger, depending on the model and configured functions.
- Recorded information can be accessed locally and communicated to monitoring systems using the available communication interfaces.
