ACREL Multifunction Electrical Power Meter
ACREL Multifunction Electrical Power Meter is a single phase or three-phase multifunction AC power meter for monitoring electrical networks and power distribution systems. It measures voltage, current, active and reactive power, power factor, frequency and electrical energy, with harmonic measurement from the 2nd to 31st harmonics. RS485 Modbus-RTU communication, configurable inputs and outputs, demand and event recording, and an energy pulse output support integration into broader electrical monitoring systems.

The ACREL Multifunction Electrical Power Meter is designed for detailed monitoring of three-phase AC electrical systems. It combines multiple electrical measurements in a single panel-mounted instrument, helping users monitor power system performance from a central display.
The meter measures single-phase or three-phase AC energy and a range of instantaneous electrical parameters, including current, voltage, active power, reactive power, power factor and frequency. It also provides harmonic measurement covering the 2nd to 31st harmonics, together with demand, event and extremum recording.
How it works
- The meter uses AC sampling technology to measure electrical parameters within the connected power system.
- Current inputs are rated for 5 A AC or 1 A AC and are connected through suitable current transformers.
- Voltage can be connected directly or through voltage transformers depending on the electrical system and wiring arrangement.
- Measured values are displayed by the meter and can be communicated through the RS485 Modbus-RTU interface.
- The panel membrane switch allows the measurement magnification to be configured.
- The unit can also convert power signals into a standard DC analogue signal where the applicable analogue output configuration is fitted.
Why choose this product?
The ACREL Multifunction Electrical Power Meter is useful where several electrical measurements need to be monitored from one panel instrument. Rather than using separate meters for voltage, current, power and energy, the multifunction design combines these measurements with additional recording and communication capabilities.
Its RS485 Modbus-RTU interface also makes it suitable for applications where electrical measurements need to be made available to a compatible supervisory, monitoring or energy management system.
Benefits
- Provides a broad range of three-phase electrical measurements from one instrument.
- Supports monitoring of both electrical energy and instantaneous power parameters.
- Harmonic measurement provides additional information about power quality, covering the 2nd to 31st harmonics.
- Demand, event and extremum recording can assist with reviewing changes in electrical system operation.
- RS485 Modbus-RTU provides a practical communications interface for compatible monitoring systems.
- True RMS measurement is specified by the manufacturer.
- Standard energy pulse output is provided.
- Optional I/O configurations provide additional flexibility for monitoring and control applications.
