ACREL Multi-Circuit DC Solar Monitoring Device provides multi-circuit DC monitoring for PV combiner boxes. Depending on the model, it monitors 4 to 24 DC circuits with a rated current of up to 20 A, while also providing busbar voltage measurement, temperature monitoring, three digital inputs and RS485 Modbus-RTU communication.

The ACREL Multi-Circuit DC Solar Monitoring Device is designed for monitoring the operating condition of solar PV arrays through the combiner box. The series supports up to 24 DC input circuits, allowing individual string currents to be monitored within a single monitoring system.

The device also measures busbar voltage and can monitor the internal temperature of the PV combiner box using an NTC thermistor. Three digital inputs can be used to monitor the status of devices such as lightning protection devices and DC circuit breakers.

Communication is provided through RS485 with Modbus-RTU protocol. The LCD provides an English interface and data display, while the keypad allows parameters such as communication settings and the over-temperature alarm threshold to be configured.

The main body is designed for 35 mm DIN rail installation, while the cable passes through the device using the specified perforation arrangement. The modular design allows the monitoring modules to be connected by data line.

How It Works

  • The device measures DC current across the connected PV string circuits using Hall sensors.
  • Depending on the model, it monitors 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 or 24 input circuits.
  • Busbar voltage can be measured up to 1500 V according to the manufacturer's product information.
  • An NTC thermistor measures the internal temperature of the PV combiner box.
  • Three digital inputs monitor connected switching or protection device status.
  • Measured data and status information can be transmitted through RS485 using Modbus-RTU.

Why Choose This Product

The AGF Series provides several monitoring functions within a dedicated PV combiner box monitoring device. Its range of channel configurations allows the device to be selected according to the number of DC circuits being monitored.

RS485 Modbus-RTU communication makes the device suitable for connection to a wider monitoring or control system, while the local LCD and keypad provide access to measured information and configuration settings.
