ACREL BM100-K Industrial Digital Signal Isolator
ACREL BM100-K Industrial Digital Signal Isolator provides electrical isolation between digital inputs, outputs and the power supply. It accepts dry contact or NAMUR proximity switch inputs and is available with relay or transistor outputs, with single-channel and multi-channel configurations to suit different control system requirements.
The ACREL BM100-K Industrial Digital Signal Isolator provides an interface between field digital signals and control equipment where electrical isolation is required. The input accepts either a dry contact or NAMUR type proximity switch signal, while the isolated output is available as either a relay contact or transistor output.
The range includes models with one input and one output, one input and two outputs, or two inputs and two outputs. Power supply options include 20 to 35 V DC and, on applicable models, 20 to 265 V AC/DC.
How it works
- Receives a dry contact or NAMUR proximity switch digital input.
- Electrically isolates the input, output and power supply sections.
- Provides either relay contact or transistor output according to the selected model.
- DIP switches allow input and output logic inversion.
- Line fault detection can be enabled where required. When enabled, an input open or short circuit fault causes the relay output to open and the fault indicator to illuminate on relay models.
Why choose this product
- Provides electrical isolation between field digital signals and connected control equipment.
- Offers relay and transistor output options within the same product family.
- Provides different channel configurations for varying signal requirements.
- Supports dry contact and NAMUR proximity switch inputs.
- Provides configurable logic and line fault detection functions.
Benefits
- Helps separate field signal circuits from downstream control circuits.
- Allows digital signals to be interfaced with different control equipment.
- Multi-channel variants can reduce the number of separate isolator units required for suitable applications.
- Configurable operating functions provide flexibility during system setup.
