ACREL AKH-0.66 SM-50i Dual Winding Current Transformer
ACREL AKH-0.66 SM-50i Dual Winding Current Transformer is a dual-winding current transformer designed for electrical current measurement and automation applications. It provides an AC secondary output for measuring or metering equipment and a DC 4-20mA output for PLC or other automatic control instrumentation. The SM-50I has a 40 mm through opening and is available with multiple primary current ratios, allowing the transformer to be selected according to the required measurement range.
The ACREL AKH-0.66 SM-50i Dual Winding Current Transformer is intended for applications where electrical current needs to be measured locally while also being transmitted as an analogue signal to an automation or control system.
The transformer has two secondary outputs. The first provides an AC 5A or AC 1A output for connection to measuring and metering equipment. The second provides a DC 4-20mA signal for automatic control instrumentation such as PLC systems. The 4-20mA output requires a DC 24V auxiliary supply, which the manufacturer states is supplied by the PLC.
For the SM-50I configuration, Acrel documentation specifies a 40 mm through opening. Primary current ratios include 5A, 10A, 15A, 20A, 25A, 30A, 40A, 50A, 60A, 75A, 80A, 100A, 150A, 200A, 250A, 300A, 400A, 500A, 600A, 750A, 800A, 1000A, 1200A and 1250A. The exact available ratio should therefore be selected when ordering.
How it works
