ACREL AKH-0.66 G-60ii Split Core Current Transformer is a clamshell-style current transformer built for accurate industrial metering. It clips around a busbar or cable without needing to disconnect the circuit, and pairs with an energy meter to deliver reliable current readings at 0.2 to 0.5S accuracy class.

ACREL AKH-0.66 G-60ii Split Core Current Transformer is a split-core current transformer from Acrel's AKH-0.66/G metering series, rated to 660V AC and designed for fixing to busbars or cables in low-voltage switchboards and distribution panels. The 60II housing suits a range of current ratios and works with standard energy meters for industrial metering applications.

        How it works

        • The G-60II clips open and closed around the primary conductor (busbar or cable), so there is no need to break the circuit during installation.
        • It steps the primary current down to a standard secondary output, which feeds into an energy meter or measuring instrument for accurate current and energy readings.
        • The clear polycarbonate flip cover lets installers check the secondary wiring at a glance.

        Why choose this product

        • It's purpose-built for metering rather than general protection, so it holds tighter accuracy tolerances than a standard measurement CT.
        • The clamshell design speeds up installation in retrofit and new-build switchboards alike, since technicians don't need to feed cable through a closed loop.
        • It's rated to IEC/EN61869-1 and IEC/EN61869-2, so it fits straightforwardly into projects that need internationally recognised CT standards.

        Benefits

        • Suits both technical and site-based buyers, since installation doesn't require disconnecting the busbar or cable.
        • Wide current ratio range within the 60II housing means it can be matched to different circuit sizes.
        • Ambient temperature rating of minus 30 to 70 degrees Celsius suits most indoor switchboard and plant room environments.
