ACREL AKH-0.66 G-60i Split-Core Current Transformer is a low voltage current transformer built for measuring AC current on cables or busbars up to 0.66kV. It's a common choice where a compact, reliable transformer is needed to feed a current signal to a meter, protection relay or monitoring device.

ACREL AKH-0.66 G-60i Split-Core Current Transformer is a solid-core current transformer from Acrel's AKH-0.66/I range, sized for the 60I frame with a 44mm aperture. Rated to AC 0.66kV, it's designed to work alongside energy meters, power analysers and protection relays in low voltage switchboards and distribution panels.

        How it works

The AKH-0.66 60I is a solid-core transformer that clamps around a cable or busbar carrying the primary current. As current flows through the primary conductor, the transformer induces a proportional secondary current, stepped down to a standard output (typically 5A or 1A, depending on the ratio selected) that can be read by a connected meter or relay.

        Why choose this product

        • Suits busbars up to 60mm x 10mm (single turn) or 60mm x 6mm (one to two turns), as well as cables up to 44mm in diameter
        • A clear polycarbonate cover lets you check the secondary wiring at a glance
        • Meets GB 20840.2-2014 (equivalent to IEC 61869-2:2012, MOD) and carries CE certification
        • Rated for use up to 3000m above sea level and across a wide ambient temperature range

        Benefits

        • Straightforward installation using the straight-piece or single-point fixing options
        • A practical fit for panel builders and electricians working on low voltage metering and protection circuits
        • Solid-core construction gives it a compact footprint for tight switchboard spaces
