        The ACREL AKH-0.66 G-30i Low Voltage Current Transformer is built for measuring alternating current on low voltage busbars and cables. It forms part of Acrel's AKH-0.66/G high precision metering range, and is commonly paired with energy meters and power monitoring instruments in switchboards and electrical distribution sets.

        How it works

        • The transformer clamps around a busbar or cable, using electromagnetic induction to step down the primary current to a proportional secondary current output (for example, ratios such as 100A/5A).
        • The clamshell body opens on a hinge, so the CT can be fitted around an existing conductor without disconnecting it at the ends.
        • The transparent polycarbonate flip cover allows the secondary lead wiring to be seen clearly during installation and inspection.
        • Secondary output feeds into a compatible energy meter or measuring instrument, which converts the current signal into a usable reading.
