ACREL AC and DC Multi-Circuit Power Monitoring System
ACREL AC and DC Multi-Circuit Power Monitoring System is a modular precision power distribution monitoring system for data centre electrical infrastructure. The range supports AC and DC incoming-line monitoring together with 30- and 48-circuit outgoing monitoring modules. Depending on the selected model, the system measures voltage, current, power and energy, with selected models also providing switching-status monitoring, leakage monitoring, temperature and humidity measurement and harmonic analysis. RS485/Modbus-RTU communication enables integration with a monitoring or energy management system.
The ACREL AC and DC Multi-Circuit Power Monitoring System is designed to provide centralised visibility of electrical distribution within data centre power systems. Its modular architecture allows incoming power feeds and multiple outgoing branch circuits to be monitored as part of the same system.
The AMC100-ZA monitors A+B dual three-phase AC incoming circuits, including electrical parameters, leakage current, zero-to-ground voltage, harmonics, voltage and current unbalance, and ambient temperature and humidity. The AMC100-ZD provides equivalent incoming-line monitoring for DC systems, supporting 48 VDC, 240 VDC and 336 VDC bus voltages.
For outgoing circuits, the FA30/FA48 modules monitor AC branch electrical parameters, while the FAK30/FAK48 versions add branch switching-status monitoring. The corresponding FD30/FD48 and FDK30/FDK48 modules provide the same basic distinction for DC distribution.
How it works
- The incoming module monitors the A+B power feeds and provides the main electrical measurements for the selected AC or DC distribution system.
- Outgoing modules connect to the incoming monitoring architecture and measure multiple branch circuits.
- The 30-circuit modules monitor 15 A-side and 15 B-side circuits, while the 48-circuit versions provide 24 A-side and 24 B-side circuits, according to Acrel's AMC100 documentation.
- RS485/Modbus-RTU communication allows monitored data to be transferred to a host monitoring system.
- FAK and FDK modules additionally monitor branch switching status.
