ACREL 60 x 50II Current Transformer for Electrical Monitoring
ACREL 60 x 50II Current Transformer for Electrical Monitoring is a closed-type AC current transformer for measuring current in low-voltage electrical systems. It features a horizontal square through-hole design with a 62 51.5 mm aperture and is available with primary current ratios from 200 A to 2500 A and a 5 A secondary output. It is designed for use with electrical measuring instruments and can accommodate busbar or cable installations.
The ACREL 60 x 50II Current Transformer for Electrical Monitoring is designed to convert the current flowing through a primary conductor into a proportional secondary current for measurement. The 60 50II configuration uses a horizontal square opening that allows the primary busbar or cables to pass through the CT without requiring the conductor to be disconnected from the measurement circuit.
For the 60 50II size, Acrel specifies a 62 51.5 mm through opening, with an overall width of 102 mm, height of 142 mm and depth of 45 mm. The available 5 A secondary configurations cover a range of primary current ratios from 200-250 A through to 2500 A.
How it works
- The primary busbar or cable passes through the CT's central aperture.
- Current flowing through the primary conductor produces a corresponding secondary current.
- The secondary output can be connected to compatible electrical measuring instruments.
- The selected current ratio determines the relationship between the primary current and the 5 A secondary output.
Why choose this product
- Designed for AC current measurement: Suitable for use as an AC current signal acquisition component with measuring instruments.
- Practical 60 50II aperture: The 62 51.5 mm through opening provides space for compatible busbar or cable arrangements.
- Multiple current ratios: The 60 50II configuration is available across several primary current ranges, supporting different measurement requirements.
- Solid-core construction: The closed design is intended for installations where the primary conductor can be routed through the CT during installation.
Benefits
- Provides a proportional current signal for electrical measurement.
- Allows current measurement without directly connecting the measuring instrument to the primary circuit.
- Offers a choice of current ratios for different primary current levels.
- Suitable for integration into low-voltage electrical measurement systems.
